Indocyanine green perfusion imaging did not reduce the risk of anastomotic leak in this study of 1136 procedures: 5.8 versus 7.9 per cent in controls, P=0.16.
Comment: The difference was greater (though not significantly) for left-sided rather than right-sided procedures.
