Surgical Science

Requirements of the role


  • Attending monthly editorial meetings either remotely or in-person, in London and other European cities.

  • Assisting the Editorial teams in the handling of papers, from submission to publication.

  • Supporting the creation and scheduling of content for BJS’s social media channels.

  • Assisting with BJS’s scientific writing courses.

  • Completing a research project related to surgical publishing.

The apprenticeship will run for a period of 12 months. Travel and accommodation expenses will be reimbursed, and the successful candidate will receive an honorarium.

Journals


The Foundation owns and publishes two surgical journals, BJS and BJS Open.

One of the most respected journals in the world, BJS provides a combination of scientific articles, reviews and critical commentary. Designed to complement BJS, BJS Open offers a similar range of content and allows authors to publish quality open access research.
