About SEIQ
SEIQ’s vision is to become a key organization in the detection, promotion and evaluation of new technological solutions in any area related to surgery and to train leaders in surgical technological innovation.
The society’s objectives are to be a forum for the exchange of ideas about research and innovation in surgery and related disciplines, to play a leading role in the digital transformation of surgery, and to contribute to an updated model of surgical training.
SEIQ’s main lines of action are: to expand the surgical research community: scientific meetings and activity in social networks; to incorporate and support surgeons in training and in early stages of their practice to become national and international leaders of R&D&I in surgery as well as to contribute to the process of digital transformation of surgery with projects related to care, teaching, research and innovation.
Annual congress
The SEIQ holds an annual congress which also includes the BJS Lecture, inviting leading world figures in the field of research and innovation in surgery. It also holds monographic meetings focused on cross-cutting areas related to current issues or to one of its working groups (Regenerative Medicine and Transplantation, Artificial Intelligence…) as well as digital meetings with residents from Spain and Latin America.
