Preoperative multimodal prehabilitation before elective colorectal cancer surgery in patients with WHO performance status I or II: randomized clinical trial.

Forty patients were included and randomized to one month of prehabilitation or control groups. The outcome was Quality of Recovery-15 outcome score after three days. Prehabilitation improved the score by 21.9 points (95 per cent confidence interval 4.5 to 39.3) – clinically relevant difference eight points.

Comment: Small study and first time I have met this Recovery score, but a convincing improvement in early outcome.
