A total of 98 patients were included. Endoscopic gastroenterostomy resulted in a shorter time to resumption of solid feeding (median 1 versus 3 days, P=0.0003). Rates of reintervention for persistent or recurrent symptoms were similar.
Comment: The authors suggest the endoscopic procedure should now be treatment of choice, where possible.
