Some 318 patients were included. After two years, percentage expected weight loss was higher after sleeve gastrectomy and duodenal-ileal bypass: -76 per cent versus -68.1 per cent with Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, P=0.026. Complication rates were similar.
Comment: Sleeve with added duodenal-ileal bypass beats standard Roux-en-Y.
