A total of 90 patients were included. After 90 days, the overall mortality rate was higher after use of the REBOA than standard care: 54 versus 42 per cent (odds ratio 1.58, 95 per cent confidence interval 0.72 to 3.52).

Comment: Disappointing, and deserves more explanation and discussion.
