RCT: Transcatheter aortic-valve replacement in low-risk patients at five years by BJS Academy

This study included 1000 patients followed for five years. The composite endpoint included death, stroke, and rehospitalization for valve complications. The primary endpoint occurred in 2.8 per cent of patients after TAVI and 27.2 per cent after open surgery, P=0.07.

Comment: Minor differences in outcome, but major advantages of TAVI for patients
