Improving shared decision making in vascular surgery: a stepped wedge cluster randomised trial.

The study included 342 patients with various vascular conditions. Those seen by clinicians trained in how to apply shared decision making (SDM) had improved OPTION-5 scores (an objective tool to assess the level of SDM): 28.7 to 37.8 per cent, P=0.025.

Comment: More support for shared decision making.
