Preconditioning program reduces the incidence of prolonged hospital stay after lung cancer surgery: Results from the Move For Surgery randomized clinical trial.

Some 102 patients were randomized to preconditioning which involved wearing a movement tracker device and education. Prehabilitation reduced the number of patients requiring over five days postoperative stay from 24 to 7 per cent, P=0.021.

Comment: Simple prehabilitation programme, and a clear primary outcome effect.
