Use of the patch reduced the rate of clinically relevant postoperative pancreatic fistula by 90 per cent; odds ratio 0.1, 95 per cent confidence interval 0.01 to 0.89, P=0.039, in this study that included 64 procedures.
Comment: amazing result, but relatively small series.
