Some 151 patients were included and all were given nutrition counselling and activity meters. Patients were randomized to additional aerobic and anaerobic resistance exercise during neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Six-minute walking distance was improved in both groups: 18.6 m in the usual care group and 27.3 m and those randomized to exercise. Clinical outcomes were similar.
Comment: No proof of any advantage for additional exercise.
