Prehabilitation including exercise and nutrition improved preoperative physical capacity (six minute walking test, P=0.001), and reduced the rate of postoperative complications up to 90 days; relative risk o04, 95 per cent confidence intervals 0.2 to 0.66 in this study that included 128 participants.
Comment: More evidence concerning the benefit of prehabilitation.
