Complications after open and laparoscopic right-sided colectomy with central lymphadenectomy for colon cancer: randomized controlled trial.

This study compared open and laparoscopic surgery for 128 patients having extended lymphadenectomy, and showed no increase in overall (38.4 versus 42.8 per cent, P=0.372) or major complication rates (4.6 versus 7.9 per cent, P=0.341), with a similar number of nodes removed.

Comment: Reassuring.
