Aggressive or moderate fluid resuscitation in acute pancreatitis.

This trial was stopped early after interim analysis of 249 patients. Aggressive fluid resuscitation resulted in a higher rate of fluid overload (20.5 versus 6.3 per cent, P=0.004), with no improvement in clinical outcomes.

Comment: Too much fluid.
